In 2017, precisely on April 10, 2017, NADFC held a Workshop / Improvement of Pharmacovigilance Competence to Healthcare Professionals at Udayana University Hospital, Denpasar. Besides the healthcare professionals at Udayana University Hospital, the Acting Head of the Provincial Office of NADFC in Denpasar, Dra. Luh Putu Witariati, Apt also attended this pharmacovigilance workshop.
This workshop was held in order to increase the competence and awarenees of healthcare professionals regarding pharmacovigilance so that the workshop can be a guide in monitoring and reporting of drug side effects to NADFC.
This event was officially opened by dr. Made Ayu Haryati, MARS as Head of Medical Services of Udayana University Hospital. The presentation of "Pharmacovigilance and patient safety" was delivered by Dr. Jarir At Thobari, MD, MSc., PhD as the keynote speaker from the Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). The subsequent presentation was delivered by the Head of Sub-Directorate of Surveilance and Risk Analysis of Therapeutic Products and Household Medical Supplies, Siti Asfijah A, S.Si., Apt., MMedSc, on "Pharmacovigilance Program in Indonesia." The Improvement of Pharmacovigilance Competence for Pharmaceutical Industry is an activity that is conducted regularly every 2 years. In 2016, this activity was held at Golden Boutique Hotel on September 14-16, 2016.
This activity aims to provide knowledge in the field of pharmacovigilance for the pharmaceutical industry to improve the competence of human resources (personnel) who handle pharmacovigilance. The personnel are expected to have competence and capability in the field of pharmacovigilance including understanding regulations related to pharmacovigilance, being able to initiate and manage the pharmacovigilance system in their respective Industries. In addition, the personnel are expected to be able to evaluate and have analytical sharpness in monitoring the implementation of pharmacovigilance in the Pharmaceutical Industry, as well as fulfilling its obligations under applicable regulations.Read More
